The 2027 Polaris Patriot 9R Switchback Assault 146 Race is built for riders who want aggressive trail performance with the ability to venture beyond the groomed trail. The combination of the responsive Patriot 9R engine, Matryx chassis and IGX 146 rear suspension creates a crossover sled designed to stay composed when the terrain changes.

The Race front suspension uses a wider stance and WER 2" Velocity shocks, giving the Assault a strong trail-focused foundation while retaining the off-trail capability that makes the Switchback Assault a true crossover.

The 1.5" Ice Storm track is specifically suited to hard-packed and icy conditions, making this Gloss Black configuration particularly well matched to riders who spend plenty of time on Ontario trails.

RACE SUSPENSION & TRACK

The Race version of the Switchback Assault uses Matryx front suspension with a wider stance designed around confident trail handling. WER 2" Velocity shocks provide damping control for aggressive riding and changing terrain.

At the rear, the IGX 146 suspension uses geometry designed to control pitch while maintaining the crossover characteristics of the 146" chassis.
