It is still twist-and-go. It is still practical. But with 36 horsepower, 190 mm of ground clearance and a purpose-built chassis, the SR GT 400 has considerably more ambition than your average commuter.

The SR GT 400 is powered by a 399cc liquid-cooled, four-valve single-cylinder engine producing 36 HP at 7,500 rpm and 37.7 Nm of torque at 5,700 rpm.
Power is delivered through an automatic CVT, keeping the riding experience simple while giving the scooter enough muscle for commuting, highway stretches, back-road exploration and two-up riding.
The Chassis Is Where Things Get Interesting
Aprilia did more than enlarge the engine. The SR GT 400 gets the hardware needed to make use of its adventure positioning.
A high-strength steel frame is paired with a 41 mm upside-down hydraulic fork offering 120 mm of travel. Dual gas-charged rear shocks provide another 120 mm and feature adjustable preload.
The combination of a 16-inch front wheel, 14-inch rear wheel and Mitas Enduro Trail tyres gives the SR GT 400 a more planted approach to rougher roads and gravel.
